Ben Long Fresco Studies
In recognition of the infamous lost fresco.
Sunday, February 16th, will be a day of glee as Ben Long’s fresco, The Shepherd, once lost for 15 years, will be unveiled in its new home at Rumple Memorial Presbyterian Church in Blowing Rock.
Following the sermon and unveiling will be a reception at BRAHM (Blowing Rock Art & History Museum) from 12:00 - 2:00 PM on Sunday, accompanied by an exhibition in BRAHM’s mezzanine area opening February, 22nd through May.
We’re ecstatic to announce The Art Cellar will also be showing a Ben Long Fresco Studies Pop Up Exhibition in correlation with the event. The curation will consist of studies for The Shepherd, the Bank of America Frescos at their Charlotte headquarters, and more.
The Pop Up will open Monday, February 17th, following the event at Rumple Memorial Presbyterian and the reception at BRAHM.
